Starting out as a school production, extracts from this show were showcased in a “Young Performer’s Concert” at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Haymarket.

This Internationally renowned musical follows the life of Russian Chess protégé Anatoly Sergievsky challenging arrogant US Grandmaster Freddie Trumper. Set against the background of the Cold War between US and the Soviet Union, the players get caught in both competition and political intrigue as they battle for more than just a game.
